The driving force behind our mission is that the truth of Jesus Christ sets people free and brings transformation. We want people to know the truth of the Gospel and the Bible and to see the world around them rightly. We desire to influence the culture around us to align with the culture of heaven and see true transformation in people’s view of God, themselves, family, and society. We want to see justice and reform come to our culture, which starts with salvation and truth. Our vision is to train people to know the Bible and walk in intimacy with God, aligning themselves with His words and understanding His heart. From that place we want to send them out to bring the Kingdom Culture into every aspect of societies and cultures across the world.
We are currently full-time missionaries with YWAM Kansas City. We have two main aspects of our ministry. The first is that Daesung’s current role at the base is to lead the School of Biblical Studies. It is a 9-month school that runs every year, where our students get to read and study every book of the Bible. We teach them how to study historical background, observe the text, interpret it, and apply it to their lives. When God’s people learn the Bible, they understand the guidebook for prayer, leadership, worship, decision-making, discernment, evangelism, and so much more. It is beautiful to see a student transformed by the Word.
The second aspect of our ministry is that Blythe is working this year with several other women and mothers with a heart to serve the most vulnerable of society. We are bringing an aspect of YWAM ministry, known as the Lifebearers, to our YWAM KC base to serve women and babies. We are working on plans for a partnership with pregnancy centers this year, as well as, training to equip women on our base in childbirth education so that they can have an access point to engage with young mothers and see the culture around pregnancy and birth aligned with the culture of heaven.
