Jim & Miriam entered the Christians in Action (CinA) missionary training school in 1970, departing for Guatemala in the summer of 1972 for language training. They arrived at their mission field, Cartagena, Colombia, in Dec. 1972, where they worked until 1978. When their Colombia residence visa couldn’t be renewed they transferred to Chile, serving there until 1980. From 1980 to 1995 Jim & Miriam served at the CinA mission HQ overseeing the training department.
Jim and Miriam also lived in Cartagena, Colombia, from 1995 where they served as advisors to church leaders. They also served in Medellín as teachers in a Bible seminary (2001 to 2016). With the Vision 60 program in full swing, their roles involved participating in the training program where they worked to see new pastors plant 60 new churches to span the country.
