Jacob helps facilitate unity within the Church by connecting local ministry leaders to one another, helping them pursue the great commission as one body. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 talks about the purpose of each member of the body and how the body works together, each body part having its own strengths. This is the design that God has given us for the Church and how the Church is supposed to function!
Jacob’s conviction about the need for true community also comes from Proverbs 27:17, ‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another’. As a body of believers we need to be sharpening one another, helping one another, and walking in humility to be able to receive the help we need to grow in unity.
