John and Suzanna Hyrons have had a dream of building an elderly home for over 25 years. There is a growing need for care and housing facilities in Macau for the aging population, with around 44,000 people currently over the age of 65 years old.
Land has already been acquired, directly adjacent to their church, for this project. Over 35,000,000 Hong Kong dollars (4.5 million US dollars) was raised in only 14 months to make this purchase possible. Once the name on the deed can be changed to Christians In Action Elderly Home, construction will begin. This has already been a long drawn out process, but in the waiting, John and Suzanna are building up their reserve funds that are required to see the building project started and completed.
