The Victory of God’s people through the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony, and lives surrendered completely to Christ. — A mission theme drawn from Revelation 12:11
Kyle and Grace Becky, together with their two young children, are a missionary family living in Japan, called to help people encounter Jesus Christ, grow as faithful disciples, and discover their place in His mission to the nations.
Their mission is to know Jesus and make Him known; to strengthen children, marriages, families, churches, and communities; and to help connect people, spiritual gifts, knowledge, technology, teams, and resources for the advancement of the gospel. God has prepared them for this work through international living, cross-cultural relationships, prayer, church service, family discipleship, and years of global marketplace leadership across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Kyle and Grace believe their own home is one of the first places this calling must be lived. As a homeschooling family, their primary focus is to grow together as one in marriage and parenthood, disciple their children in the ways of Jesus, and become a humble reflection of His heart through ordinary family life and deep integration within the local community.
They do not approach this calling as a family that has already arrived, but as one being formed daily through surrender, dependence upon the Holy Spirit, and the grace of Jesus Christ.
They carry a deep love for the people of Japan and for unreached peoples throughout the world. Japan is commonly estimated to be approximately 1 percent Christian, with evangelical believers representing an even smaller portion. Despite Japan’s global influence, beauty, innovation, and outward prosperity, many people have had limited opportunities to encounter Jesus through personal relationship, faithful Christian witness, or healthy local Christian community.
Japan is deeply loved.
Japan remains spiritually under-reached.
Japan should not be forgotten.
Living in Okinawa, Kyle and Grace attend and serve at Yomitan International Church and seek to participate faithfully in the life of the surrounding community through friendship, hospitality, teaching and educational programs, business and economic development, responsible stewardship of land, shared experiences, and consistent presence.
Through the grace of Christ, they hope their family and work can serve as a lighthouse within their community—not drawing attention to themselves, but faithfully reflecting the light, welcome, truth, and restoring love of Jesus.
They are deeply grateful for the privilege of fellowship and service alongside a beautifully diverse body of believers, including Japanese, Filipino, American, Taiwanese, Malaysian, South African, Singaporean, Gabonese, Hong Konger, Thai, and many others. They consider it a true blessing to stand shoulder to shoulder with these brothers and sisters in Christ who are already laboring faithfully.
With Japan commonly estimated at approximately 1 percent Christian, Kyle and Grace believe the nation warrants urgent prayer and renewed attention from the global Church. They sense that this may be a critical and catalytic season for Japan and pray for a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit—a work of revival arising in the East and bearing witness far beyond it.
Okinawa stands at a remarkable crossroads of cultures, nations, history, conflict, and spiritual need. Their prayer is that it may increasingly become a place of reconciliation, healing, strengthened families, discipleship, and gospel witness.
Okinawa also hosts a substantial U.S. military community, and Kyle and Grace feel called to serve military members and their families who may be spiritually under-served while navigating deployments, frequent transitions, separation from extended family, relational strain, and the unique pressures of military life overseas.
They desire to offer friendship, family-centered discipleship, spiritual encouragement, and a welcoming community where service members, spouses, and children can be known, strengthened, and reminded of their identity and hope in Jesus Christ.
Their prayer is to serve humbly across both Japanese and military-connected communities, loving each as neighbors and reflecting the reconciling heart of Christ on an island deeply shaped by their shared history.
Although the Japanese and military-connected communities of Okinawa have been shaped by very different histories, cultures, and pressures, Kyle and Grace recognize shared areas of profound family need. Loneliness, marital strain, war-related trauma, family fragmentation, declining birth rates, generational disconnection, social isolation, digital distraction, frequent transitions, and the absence of lasting community intersect in different ways across both populations.
Their heart is not to define either community by its wounds, but to serve individuals and families facing brokenness with humility, compassion, truth, and hope.
They desire to reflect the restoring heart of Jesus by helping create spaces where marriages can be encouraged, parents supported, children deeply valued, and families strengthened through friendship, discipleship, hospitality, and genuine Christian community. Their prayer is that Christ would meet people within both their distinct and shared struggles—
- bringing reconciliation where relationships have fractured,
- belonging where isolation has taken root,
- and renewed hope for families in Okinawa, throughout Japan, and far beyond.
The Becky family is especially passionate about cultivating welcoming environments where isolation can give way to belonging, relational barriers can fall, families can be strengthened, and people can witness the love and character of Jesus through the lives of His people.
They envision sports, recreation, creativity, community centers and events, houses of prayer, education, and shared family experiences becoming bridges into genuine relationships and discipleship.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19
As they learn Japanese together and teach and disciple their children biblically and cross-culturally, they are also developing children’s literature, family discipleship resources, digital media, interactive learning experiences, and other culturally meaningful ways of communicating the Bible and the story of Christ.
Alongside their relational and on-the-ground ministry, they are developing biblically governed technology tools, knowledge systems, and content intended to support biblical education, family discipleship, missionary collaboration, cross-cultural communication, Kingdom-resourcing initiatives, and faithful stewardship.
Kyle and Grace carry a deep burden for the gap between the abundant resources entrusted to the global Body of Christ and the limited access many unreached communities still have to the gospel.
Their burden extends especially across the 10/40 Window—the region spanning North Africa, the Middle East, and much of Asia—where current missions research estimates that approximately 96 percent of all people living within unreached people groups are concentrated.
They believe marriage, family, ministry, parenting, technology, education, land, sport, creativity, business, and economic activity can all be surrendered to Jesus and faithfully stewarded to serve and bless individuals, families, churches, organizations, communities, and economies.
Through every expression of their calling, the Becky family desires to lift high the name of Jesus Christ, serve His Church faithfully, love their neighbors sincerely, and help make disciples among every nation, tribe, people, and language.
Their prayer is that Japan and unreached peoples would be seen, remembered, prayed for, and faithfully served; that military families would be strengthened and surrounded by meaningful Christian community; and that every relationship, resource, project, and opportunity entrusted to their family would remain surrendered to Jesus, built according to His will, and used for His glory alone.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
Japan and unreached peoples are deeply loved by God and included in Christ’s call to the nations. Kyle and Grace simply desire to do their small part in helping introduce people to Jesus through all that they are and all that they do—seeking to obey Him faithfully, one day and one step at a time, on this beautiful journey with Christ.
The Victory Belongs to King Jesus!
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” — Revelation 7:9
