Word of Fire

The mission of Word of Fire is to strengthen the churches, by encouraging missionaries, local pastors, leaders, individuals, and nations in word, prophetic intercession, freedom, and power.

“Is not My word like a fire?” says the LORD, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” — Jeremiah 23:29

Joe Martin has been a disciple of Jesus Christ for 50 years. The gifts and callings remain, having been implanted by the Faithful God. The first lesson the LORD taught him was,“You have a calling: Follow Me and I will make you a fisher of men.” (Matthew 4:19). In 2012, while in Central America on a Mission Trip, the LORD commissioned Joe to GO and strengthen the churches.

Joe is currently serving as a father/mentor with United Rescue Alliance (URA – unitedrescuealliance.org). This is an International Organization providing training, help, healing of the whole person, and rebuilding in the nations during and after disasters. A major part of this work is to understand trauma and connect more deeply to bring healing and hope to the overcoming who have experienced disaster. Joe also specializes in working with leaders in the House of Prayer at URA International HQ in Abilene, TX. Here the desire is to call the Church to fulfill its’ destiny as a House of Prayer – Communion with THE one true GOD – through active worship and intercession for all nations, beginning at home.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. — 1 Corinthians 2: 1-5
